Warsaw - The Phoenix City

It may not be possible for many to overcome the severe blows they had to suffer in their life. But, the people of Warsaw, the capital city of Poland has proved that they can come out of any situation with their will power and determination. There will not be any other city in the world, which had to suffer so many setbacks and attacks as Warsaw. Almost 80% of the city has been ruined during the Second World War. From all those situations, the city has now become the largest economic center of central Europe and an important tourist destination.

Almost all known airlines are operating flights to Warsaw now. Aiming the tourists belonging to the middle class, many companies are operating cheap flights to Warsaw also. Though, the number of flights to this city is increasing every time, at time there can be great difficulties in getting cheap tickets to Warsaw. So, to avoid more inconveniences, it is always better to buy airline tickets in advance, if you are planning a visit to Warsaw.

Places to See

Lazienki Palace

Lazienki Park and Palace is a breathtakingly beautiful place. One simply relaxes and experiences serenity and peace of this place. On a lake, the palace known as "The Palace on the Isle" is built and one can reach there through foot bridges. Depending upon your mood, one can stroll around the place and enjoy the rich history and culture of the place.

Chopin Monument

In the memory of the famous composer from Poland, Chopin, the Chopin Monument is the place where artists and music lovers gather. At times concerts are also held here. This monument is located in Lazienki Park.

Royal Castle

Reproduction of the original, the Royal Castle in Warsaw is just like the Chopin Monument. And, during World War II, the composer's monument was destroyed by Nazis. Although exterior required lot to be recreated but the interior of the castle is still very much authentic. Lot has been saved from that era like furniture, etc.

Castle Square

Overlooking Royal Castle, Castle Square is located in Warsaw. For speeches, entertainment and gatherings are held at this grand square.

The University of Warsaw showcases the architectural wonders of the traditional Polish. There are several other buildings to add to this list too. Adding more attractions to these beautiful architectural structures, 40% of the total area of the city has been kept green with beautiful plants and trees. Thus the city itself plays an important role in entertaining the tourists. Though the city has been connected by air with almost all major cities in the world, and a good number of flights are being operated from here, the rush will be seen throughout the year, especially on cheap plane to Warsaw.
